All Mobile Video offers a comprehensive inventory of camera pedestals including Vinten’s Fulmar, Quattro (both “L” studio as well as “OBL” field versions), Vinten Osprey Elite, Sachtler 2-75 Vario and 1-90 Vario pedestals.
Studio pedestals (e.g.: Vinten’s Fulmar and Quattro-L) typically have harder wheels (appropriate for smooth studio floors) and cable skirts which surround the entire pedestal base. Field, or “OB” pedestals typically have softer wheels and adjustable cable skirts for each set of wheels.
For “hard cameras” (systems expander or larger body cameras with box lenses) Vinten’s Fulmar or Quattro are recommended, especially if accessories such as prompter, PGM or vanity monitors are being used.
For “mini cameras” (smaller body cameras with ENG form-factor lenses) Vinten’s Osprey Elite or Sachtler Varios (2-75 or 1-90) are typically sufficient, especially were a lighter weight, more portable pedestal is needed.
