The Polecam AutoPod-Standard and updated AutoPod-Plus are cost-effective, quick set-up, turnkey system for elevating PTZ cameras for smooth on-air “Towercam-like” vertical camera motion.
AutoPod-Standard (ATP520)
The first generation AutoPod uses a (150 ft or 250 ft) serial control cable harness, offers soft stop/start and a fixed vertical lift speed. A foot pedal (3 pin XLR, max length 100m) controls stop/start commands. A desk controller (5 pin XLR, max length 50m) also can control vertical stop/start and allows three memory-preset elevations. An AutoPod Control Unit needs to be located with 15m of the lift column base.
AutoPod-Plus (ATP620)
The second generation AutoPod-Plus offers all the capabilities above but offers variable speed lift and serial or ethernet cabling. Panasonic RP-50/120/150 etc. control desk protocols are natively supported in the Autopod-Plus.
Elevation Range
A “Single Column” AutoPod-Standard (or AutoPod-Plus) have a minimum camera mounting plate height of 2’1″, a maximum camera mounting plate height of 4’6″. The “Double Column” AutoPod-Standard (or AutoPod-Plus) have a minimum camera mounting plate height of 4’4″, a maximum camera mounting plate height of 8’9″.
Note: AMV offers “Double Column” systems which may be configured on-site as “Single,” or “Double” heights. Please specify “Standard” or “Plus” when ordering.
