Chelsea Studio D
226 West 26th Street, New York, NY 10001
1st Floor
Studio D's multi-functionality
makes it a valuable production asset. First, it provides a low-cost New
York presence for shows based outside the region. For this purpose, its
direct connectivity to fiber lines and satellite uplink capability, one
of the few studios in New York this size to offer this option, make it
the perfect place from which to conduct remote interviews, product
releases, or satellite media tours. Studio D can be controlled from its
own fully digital control room, or it can share control facilities with
the adjacent digital control room connected to Studio C, giving
engineers the power to manage dual-location production from a single
position.
From a layout standpoint, Studio
D is built to adapt, with a two-wall hard cyc that's easy to light and
ripple-free - perfect for Ultimatte shoots or for painted backgrounds
that need to be changed quickly.
